Basic Set of Plumbing Tools

Whenever you have plumbing problems you will need to have a basic list of plumbing tools. Prepare yourself in advance by purchasing some tools.  Just go to your favorite search engine and type in some terms related to plumbing fixtures. You may type basic tools list for plumbing problems or something like that, and you will receive a very good list of sites that will provide you a very good idea about this topic.

You can start building your own set with this basic list. Start purchasing in a planned manner, and very soon, you will have a very useful kit.

Here is a basic list:

  1. Fire-Resistant Cloth
  2. Eye Protection Lens
  3. Propane Torch
  4. Tongue-and-Groove
  5. Pliers
  6. Hacksaw
  7. Metal File
  8. Pipe Wrench
  9. Adjustable Wrench
  10. Tubing Cutter
  11. Plunger
  12. Closet Auger

Of course, there are a lot of fixtures and tools that you can buy, but I do not recommend you to purchase all of them. You may not even know how to use them if they are too sophisticated and specialized. If you go to a hardware store you may feel that you need all the products you see there. It is very probable that you will have a plumbing issue that will require most of the tools in a hardware store. The point is that those problems happen very seldom.

After the years, you will have enough experience to know which tools are the most used. After solving the most common plumbing problems you will be able to discriminate which fixtures are utilized the most. Make a list of those tools that are not used and get rid of them. Also, make a list of those ones that you found the most needed and take good care of them. If somebody requests you to borrow someone, then take it as information for you. It means that the tool is valuable.

When you borrow a tool I recommend you to go and buy another tool like the one you borrowed. Also, track the person who you borrowed the tool to. He may not return it back. Do not get angry. Learn from experience. As I tell you, buy another one in advance.

And also you may not borrow it anymore. But if you do, just think you are helping somebody for a low price, just the cost of a tool. Over time you will get fame as a good person who helps other people to solve plumbing problems by lending a hand in the form of useful tools that you keep at home. This will be a collateral effect of having a basic tool list for plumbing problems.

You will have good experiences having a kit of tools at home. The most important one is that you will fix those plumbing problems that may appear at your house. A second one is that you will get the good fame of a preventive person.
